The Jordan Valley starts from the Sea of Galilee and ends at the Dead Sea.
The Northern part of the valley (close to the Sea of Galilee) includes the Jordan River. This area has become an agricultural success for many kibbutzim and moshavim due to its climate, fertile soils and water supply.
It is an area where people from kibbutzim and moshavim meet for both eductaional and agricultural resources.
Emek Hayarden is also the place where the first regional council was formed in 1949. It provides many municipal services to Kibbutzim, Moshavim and villages from the surrounding area.
